Designer Comments

Working with Wayne Brezinka is always a treat. He presented a sketch of a home being tossed about on waves in a storm, which resonated with the author. Because the title was inspired by an old hymn, Wayne used that page from an old Baptist Hymnal to form the exterior of the building. The house is rigged so it can move around in the waves, and has a flashlight illuminating it from within. Holes were drilled in the sky to allow “starlight” to filter through when backlit. Fun fact: the author is a fan of Johnny Cash, so Wayne included a swatch from actual Johnny Cash coat and shirts in the waves.
