Judge Comments

This Bible instantly caught my attention, seeing illustrated stories of redemption depicted beautifully through a vellum o-card. It’s not easy to depict scenes from scripture with such vibrancy while also carrying the weight of each story, but this Bible manages to pull it off. Often Bibles are approached with the mindset of reduction but this approach flips that notion on its head. With vignettes filling the cover, spine and back, each giving a glimpse into the compelling story of God’s grace. The simplicity of the illustrations combined with an almost collage like approach, leaves the viewer with much to explore. I could see this Bible sparking a young curious mind to dig into what these stories are all about.
