Following Kirsten Cork’s lead from the cover for The Care of Souls, I created a linocut in a similar style, depicting the dark, hidden valley ahead. We published this right at the beginning of the pandemic, as many were feeling the scariness of the unknown ahead, but it also stands as a reminder to readers in any calamity—Christ walks through the valley with us.
