Designer Comments

Starting with the obvious sometimes sparks magic. While delicately fingering through the priceless envelopes and pages of the letters once exchanged between Jim Elliot and his one-day bride, Elisabeth, we spied this beautiful envelope. A simple turn sideways showed its potential as book cover that conveyed the essence of the book with little embellishment. It isn’t often that punctuation triggers design inspiration, but as soon as we tucked a comma behind Devotedly, we realized we had perfectly married title and visual.
