We knew that when it came to the cover design for Eyewitness, we needed an epic-feeling image to not only draw people in but also portray the overall concept of this book. The strength of Eyewitness is its fresh new way to tell stories of the Bible from a first-person perspective and visualize each story through unique, custom art. We developed a variety of great concepts for the cover and finally decided on one of the images from the story of Noah, which we felt truly captured what this project is all about. It’s a powerful visual and really represented how that story was written—a very symbolic image of a man who carried the weight of the world and kept his eyes and faith on God. The art is gorgeous, and it really works well to represent the entire experience of the book. The rest of the design and titling is simple to let the art just do its job with the reader who sees this and wants more.
