Designer Comments

We wanted an illustration that conveyed “hiding behind many ways to fix yourself” and wasn’t limited to a specific ethnicity. Hiding a teen girl’s face behind a beauty mask brought the right mix of humor and angst. Scarlet’s first B&H book also used Kayla’s drawing and hand lettering.
