Judge Comments

I was intrigued by the interaction between the slipcase and cover design. The Lectio caseside printing visually aligns to the outer packaging type layout, but there is an intentionality in how the design becomes more minimal as you go from slipcase to caseside. This beautifully illustrates the theme of stripping away distraction as you engage with this Bible. I also appreciate some of the more unexpected design choices that make this Bible stand out: the title being a bit off-center on the caseside is surprising but fitting; and the more muted earth tones of the slipcase are an intriguing compliment to the more contrasting linen cover with black type. Overall, impressive design execution and use of production technique which makes this design stand out.
