We had to achieve two things with this cover: it needed to be instantly recognised as a treasure hunt book but also as a book of Bible stories. We chose some iconic Old Testament scenes to grab kids’ attention – David and Goliath, baby Moses – then filled the cover with an ordered chaos of treasure hunt items, set against a calming pastel colour palette.
