Unique, displayed originality and executed strong creative visual concepts that are appealing and standout in the marketplace. (hard return) This cover worked really well for its corresponding genre within the world of fiction and contained a surprising element. Being able to represent a genre in a non-generic way might be a difficult task, but this cover design met the challenge with skill and precision. (hard return). Sometimes, a cover is beautiful not because it breaks the boundaries of a genre but because it is formed so wonderfully by them. This is such a case as this scene sets the stage beautifully for the story within: a woman fighting to stay above water as she keeps swimming against the tides that life keeps throwing at her. (hard return) Composition is nice with the waves anchoring the design at the bottom and the birds circling the title. It has a nice contemplative and nostalgic feel. (hard return) Has beautiful ethereal nature to the cover that connects immediately to the book’s title. This is effectively accomplished by the designer’s choice of color, image choice, and typography—which is elegantly controlled.
Well executed. Imagery draws you in with excellent use of filters, cropping, and placement.
