Designer Comments

Signs of the Messiah shows how John is structured around the themes of signs and miracles. I wanted the design to mirror these elements. There are icons for each of the signs: turning water into wine, healing the royal official’s son, walking on water, raising Lazarus, feeding the 5000, healing the blind man, and healing the paralytic. These items circle the cross, connecting to it as the central point of importance — both in the design and the gospel. I added some decorative detail to the design but kept the lines clean and minimal to pull the focus to imagery.
